The project

Culture Vivace is an artistic and cultural project run by La Fausse Compagnie, involving residents of the rural area east of Grand Châtellerault. The project is led by a paid coordinator and volunteers. All guest artists are paid professionals.

What is Culture Vivace?

• Artistic workshops: the Brigades d’Intervention Artistique, an amateur collective of singers and musicians; writing workshops; and artist residencies aimed at schoolchildren and the general public.
• The Rendez-vous Culture Vivace: a programme of performances held in people’s homes, in unusual or more traditional venues, across the region.
• The Folies Bastringue Festival, held every two years in November in a different town, is a highlight of the calendar for celebrating the performing arts.

The quality of the ‘Culture Vivace’ regional cultural project is recognised and supported by the DRAC, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, the Vienne department, Grand Châtellerault, Châtellerault and the local municipalities.
