Le Folies Bastringue Festival
The major event that brings us all together every two years to celebrate the performing arts.
Since 2011, La Fausse Compagnie has been organising a festival every two years, bringing together local residents, local organisations and schoolchildren (from primary and secondary schools) for a week in November. In late autumn, everyone gathers around a circus big top and brazier to enjoy performances, visual and sound installations, exhibitions and more… As a travelling festival, the Folies Bastringue Festival moves to a different host town each edition and is enriched by suggestions gathered through consultation with residents, organisations and partners, ensuring that the festival is different every time!
The next Folies Bastringue Festival will take place from 9 to 14 November 2026 in Coussay-Les-Bois. The theme was chosen collectively in November 2025 following a rigorous and supervised vote, and will be “Coussi-Coussay”.
The volunteers are hard at work preparing: the decoration team, the bar team, the artist reception team, and the set-up and dismantling team. Anyone keen to help is welcome – do come along!
