Culture Vivace

Culture Vivace is a project run by La Fausse Compagnie involving local residents. 30 volunteers are regularly involved in preparatory meetings (programming, communication and decoration committees), and 80 take part in the highlights of this local cultural project.

All guest artists are paid professionals.

The events take place in the communes to the east of Grand Châtellerault (the former Vals de Gartempe et Creuse area).

Culture Vivace is built around two-year cycles, giving local people and the company time to meet and prepare the Folies Bastringue Festival (which takes place in November of even-numbered years in a different town each time).

In the two years leading up to the Folies Bastringue Festival, regular events are organised with and for local residents: workshops to discover artistic practices, shows and artistic residencies.

Sponsorship is a way of directly supporting this adventure, and it is becoming more and more necessary for this project. As a reminder, donations to the association are eligible for a tax credit of 66% for individuals and 60% for businesses.

The quality of the Culture Vivace regional cultural project was recognised in 2024 by the signing of a DRAC agreement with the New Aquitaine Region, Grand Châtellerault and Châtellerault.

Culture Vivace is also supported by the Vienne department and the area’s communes.
